I am not from a military family, I actually have never been anypart of the militart till I got with my boyfriend who has just recently enlisted into the United States Army and leaves for Basic Training on June 26 for Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Military Teen Military kids bond over grief at summer camp

A summer camp in Olympia allows kids from military families to tackle deeper subjects than s'mores and bonfires -- they share the bond of grief.



Seven-year-old Susi Salcedo is one of those there whose parent or sibling died while serving.

Military Teen Children of deployed troops struggle

An adolescent whose parent is sent on military deployments is more likely to have suicidal thoughts and feel depressed than the child of civilians, according to a new study from researchers at the University of Washington School of Public Health.
